So a lot of people around the world uses diets that they feel will work for them or just want to loose their weight as soon as possible. It might work for them or it might not, but one thing I know for sure is that it`s not good for your body and their might be side effects. Also, I believe the best way to loose weight and be fit is eating healthy and exercising.
So this is also another video by Jake and Amir called `Master Cleanse`. Master Cleanse is a juice fast where you drink this lemons based drink with no food for a certain period of time. The recipe for this drink is hot water, with lemonade, with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. The purpose is to detoxify the body and temporary weight loss. It is known as a short term diet and it will be harmful if its long-term.
I think people should stick to old fashion, eat healthy and exercise.
So, this is another Jake and Amir episode called `Health Insurance``, as you can see. The reason why I put this video on is because I believe, like Canada, every country should use taxpayers money so everyone can have access to free health facilities. Health insurance is what people get to help them with their medical expenses, like making monthly payment that would benefit them when their sick or hurt, so the money will be available at that time. In Canada, under the Canada Health Act, the federal government gives all people in Canada free access to medical services like hospitals, family doctors etc. But if the government allows doctors to charge their patients, the government will decrease the amount of payment that people pay to the government every year. I believe that every country should be like ours because one of the reasons people with health issues don't `go to their doctor is because they can`t afford it and don`t want to waste their money on going to a doctor, so they end up getting sick and die. By having free medical facilities in every country, people will go and get checked on what medical issue they have and what the next step is.
This is another YouTube mini shows, like EpicMealTime, but they are actors, act out comedic videos to entertain their viewers. I will also give a brief description about these guys. The guy one the right (glasses) name is Amir Blumenfield and as his charactor on this show, he's a malnerish guy who LOVES chicken nuggets, he doesn't eat healthy food and he doens't make WISE choices. Once again, I have watched this show, like EpicMealTime, for years to know themt too well and ofcourse watched all their episodes! Anways, Amir was always like this, when it comes to diet or even having a conversation with him, he isn't the smartest person to talk to, he doesn't make sense or have the wrong information. The guy on the left is Jake Hurwitz, now, he's a smart guy, he has his moments, but he makes wise choices sometimes. He is a fit guy, who eats healthy and actually knows what he's saying most of the time. He has been trying to tell his friend Amir what to eat and that nuggets aren't good for him, but Amir never listens. Now this video is about Carbs, obviously, but its about how Amir is accusing Jake of eating a lot of carbs, when Amir is stuffing his mouth with spaggetti, chocolate cake, pizza, bagel etc. Amir is an interesting charactor. What I want to tell people is that to watch this video and by watching this video you can say that, yes a lot of people go towards food when their stressed or upset. Most people go towards food when their upset is because it helps them, some people will go for walks, some will go for a run, or to the gym or even plays video games. I think people should learn from this and not making the choice of going towards food whent they're upset because IT WILL effect them in the future. Lastly I would like to say that their videos' are FUNNY, atleast I enjoy them, I know most or all of my friends don't find them funny, but I EXTREMMELY recommend others to watch it because its also entertaining and funny and it comes about once a week thats about 4 minutes long, you don' know, there might be a life lesson for YOU!
If you havn't seen Epic Meal Time before, my first post in blogger.com was Epic Meal Time, but I'll give you a brieft summary of who they are. They are a YouTube cook show, they're not just regular "chefs" where thye make gourmet food, they create food by combining different types of food, espcially junk food, to create something new that contains a lot of calories, fat, salt, sugar...EVERYTHING thats bad for you. Their specialty is BACON. They love BACON and I have watched almost all of their videos and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, they didn't use real bacon (not candy bacon) in one of their many videos they had made. Anyways, this is a show that is very interesting to watch and what I always thought was that the videos they make take them atleast 6 or 7 hours to make their meals, but at an interview I saw with them, I believe on Jay Leno, they said they spend about 40 hours to make this video/meal, I was SURPRISED. It's also extremely suprising that they havn't gained so much weight from eating so much fatty food, one particular guys stays some what fit throughout each episodes. What I like to others is that, they shouldn't create foods like these group of guys do because they are VERY unhealthy, its entertaining to watch, but shouldn't TRY THIS AT HOME. If you watch the other videos you can see that they put on how many calories and fat at the corner, its UNBELIEVABLE and BAD. They have managed to maintain their weight, but I think it won't be that easy for others, MAYBE, but don't try this at home!
But anyways, this is an interesting show to watch that I would recommend everyone to watch, and its only about 5 minutes long that comes on every Tuesdays on EpicMealTime, so go on and watch it!
What I have learned doing my PSA for my Food and Nutrition Class is that there are so many companies that market to children. I believe the companies shouldn't be blamed, I think the PARENTS, should take all the blame because children will believe what any says anything to them, it is the parents responsiblity to educate their kids and not BUY them junk food. EVEN if parents can't afford to buy healthy organic food because they buy junk food ebcause its cheap, they can atleast buy healthy food from grocery stores even thought they are not organic, that is better than the value meal from McDonald. I think company's should take a look at the children in their country and decided if its the right choice their making. BUT at the end of the day companies don't care about kids health, they just want to make money.
I learned that its best to eat food atleast three to four hours before you go to bed. It is because your organs need to rest and if you eat about an hour before you go to bed, all your food will be stored as fat! Something interesting, people sheould keep in mind and not have late night SNACKS!
I didn't know what Monsanto was before I watched Food Inc. in our Food and Nutrition class. I read this article at www.rt.com where they talked about Monsanto still have the ability to crush countries on legal battlefield. It is known that France is by far the only country attempting to get rid of Monsanto's maize. The billion dollar corporation is located no other than the United States, where there are protesters in the streets who seemed to care. There is a Occupy Monsanto movement where thousands of people joined in March where they marched through Washington, DC, Seattle, and LA. The prtesters accused the biotech giant of the anti-competitive actions like cleaing its reputation with multi-billion dollar cash and bankrupting independent farmers in order to force them into using their genetically-engineered seeds. The movement is planning to launch another round of protests during the harvesting season in 2012.
I was on YouTube watching a movie clip where I came across the movie American Pie, in which I decided to make the pie because I really liked the way the pie looked. I'm not a big fan of pie, but I decided to make an apple pie to see if I can make it as the same as the one in the movie.
Ingredients
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Melt
the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water,
white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and
let simmer.
Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with
apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour
the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does
not run off.
Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the
temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking for 35 to
45 minutes, until apples are soft.

A couple of
high school Brampton
students created a YouTube video challenging a province-wide ban on junk food
in school cafeterias that has got attraction over a short period of time. The
video was produced by student council members Samuel Battista and Brian Baah from St. Thomas Aquainas, which had over
7,000 views on a Sunday night and sparking up discussions and debates on social
medias such as Facebook and Twitter. The
video contained interviews with students, scenes from their school cafeteria,
speeches and rants by famous personalities.
Wow, but as long as you're eating tons of vegetables and avoiding processed junk, I think you're doing good. Raw vegan is pretty extreme, but those who do it, love it.
Numerous schools are promoting the
health authorities to have stricter laws that ensure healthy
food available to children in schools. The goal is to reduce
childhood obesity and promoting healthy eating habits to children. People are
also promoting parents in following the guidelines in packing healthy
lunches to their children.
Wow I never knew Canadian French fries has twice the salt than the US. I thought United States fast food had more salt and sugar than any other countries. I think that a lot of people from the US buy MCD there is because its cheap from what I have learned. And the Canadian MCD price is higher than the US. I wonder why...
